OVERVIEW

Yosemite photo workshop

This workshop is for beginners and intermediate photographers who are passionate about nature and needing to increase the knowledge and skill level to create dramatic images, both film and digital.

As a professional photographer for 30 years and a resident of Yosemite since 2001, Nancy brings extensive knowledge of her craft and the local area to this workshop.  Nancy will discuss the philosophies surrounding her photography and how she was able to capture the scene with her camera.

The in-the-field workshop will cover camera operation, compositional techniques, lighting and exposure.  Though this class will be geared towards 35mm SLR cameras, other formats and even “point and shoot” cameras are welcome.  You will learn how to take your photography to the next level, from “snapshots” to  interesting works of Art. Blending fundamental concepts of composition with practical instruction on how to get the most of your camera equipment.  The outdoor hands-on class will help students refine their photographic vision in multiple settings in the valley.

Testimonials

My family spent a week at Tenaya and had the time of our lives. The lodge was full of activities and helpful advice. We have great memories and pictures from the Tenaya and surrounding areas-it is near everything we wanted to do. We rafted, went horseback riding, rode the train and went to Bass Lake. We will be back!
